TiC is produced by the CVD method. Evaporated Titanium
gas reacts with Carbon on the surface of work at high temperature
and forms hard Titanium Carbide film which adheres firmly on the
base metal
Features
Typical Applications
Very hard film. (Hv about 3700)
High abrasion resistance because of hardness and low coefficient
of friction
High peel resistance
Very good uniformity of film thickness for complicated shapes
and even inside wall of small holes
Used for various types of stamping die, including metal stamping
dies for automotive applications, stamping dies for cold forging
applications, and stamping dies for roll casting applications.
