We manufactured our first machine tool model in 1940, and in the years since then total production has reached over 10,000 units. Our internal grinding machines are used by more than 1,000 companies in Japan and overseas. TOYO brand machine tools are backed by ISO 9001 certification, the international standard in quality assurance. They are widely employed and highly regarded in many key industrial sectors, including automobiles, electric household appliances, and bearings.

Among our specialist business fields,
there are major opportunities in hard coating technologies.

Our first involvement in hard coating technologies came with the first-ever practical use application in Japan of CVD coatings, as an elemental technology in rotary piston engine production. Since that time, the demand for hard coating has increased with the requirements for high precision machining and improvements in productivity in various industries, creating new opportunities for business expansion at Toyo.

Automobile component production technologies nurtured in machine tool manufacturing have opened a whole new field of business opportunities for Toyo.

Our active involvement in the automobile components business began in 1985, with the manufacture of automatic transmission oil pumps. In 2002 we began production of CVT oil pumps. We have developed high performance oil pumps which fit ATor CVT,making the best use of our own hydraulic technology and noise reduction technology. Using our exclusive hydraulic control technology, torque limiting technology, and weight reduction technology, we have developed high-performance oil pumps for automatic and continuously variable transmissions(CVT). These are now mass produced at low cost while maintaining excellent quality.
