July 26, 2000 Toyo Turns 50 Years Old Toyo Advanced Technologies Co., Ltd celebrated its 50th anniversary on July 26. Originated from a division of Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. (currently known as Mazda Motor Corporation), the company now has three business groups; machine tools, hard coating and automotive parts. Due to the excellent technology cultivated during the last half century, its internal grinding machines have over 40% market share in Japan. "We are extremely pleased to be able to celebrate our 50th anniversary. This could not have been made possible without craftsmanship and technologies fostered over the years and warm support extended by our customers. In order for us to further grow in the 21st century, we will endeavor to enhance customer satisfaction, product quality, price competitiveness and brand image," said President Katsuaki Yamamoto. Taking this opportunity, Toyo has launched the new Corporate Identification System, including the design change of TOYO logo.
