Low heat conduction coating with high resin fluidity

  • This shows overwhelmingly low thermal conductivity with remarkably better fluidity of resin than raised die temperature.

  • Improved fluidity or transcription is expected for molding products with microscopic shape for optical system that requires severe molding conditions.

  • Dies or parts for resin molding (of prism sheet or molding dies with microscopic shape)

New technology for improvement of resin molding

The surfaces of the spiral flow molds are variously coated and each flow length of resin is measured by injection molding in the cavity.

    • Material: Starbucks + Ni-P
    • Surface coating: Uncoated (Ni-P), DLC, and SPAT Coat

    (2)Polycarbonate 175MPa 157cc/s

Comparing the cases of mold temperature change and Coating using the case "Uncoated surface at mold temperature of 80°C" as a benchmark,

The fluidity with SPAT Coat was remarkably better than the raised mold temperature
